Scholarship Information
To make the conference and social more accessible for all our members, we are offering the HACAC Conference Scholarships. To apply for the HACAC Conference Scholarship, please fill out the application form no later than January 31, 2026.
If applying for a scholarship, you may go ahead and register for the conference and select “pay by check” at the end of the registration. That way, you can still take advantage of the early bird rate. If approved for a scholarship, the registration fee will be waived. The scholarship can also help with travel costs for those coming from another Hawaiian island. Travel costs will be reimbursed (more details in the application).
Conference Proposals
The HACAC Conference Committee is now accepting proposals for conference sessions! Please leave your bashfulness at home and share your ʻike (knowledge)! Volun-tell a colleague to present with you! Our community thrives when we collaborate and learn from one another.
If you’re interested but have concerns, let us know. We can help you develop your proposal or connect you with a co-presenter.
Successful proposals will:
- Address major issues in our field, share best practices, or highlight unique aspects of our work, especially as it applies to working with Hawaiʻi communities and Hawaiʻi communities.
- Represent diverse experiences, perspectives, and work.
- Showcase elements of the Hawaiian culture and values.
- Connect to this year’s theme: Olelo Noʻeau #1957, “Lawe i ka ma‘alea a kū‘ono‘ono.”Take wisdom and make it deep.
- Offer practical knowledge or resources that others can easily use. If you share a tip, tool, or resource, we kindly ask that it be made available to HACAC members.
- Include outcome or impact data.

Overall goal – HACAC members should leave the session feeling informed and inspired, with new insight (to the Hawaiʻi Population/HACAC). Please help us in showcasing what makes HACAC so unique and (important for our communities)

You will be notified about the status of your proposal in mid-January. Presenters must confirm participation within two weeks of notification. Presenters are responsible for registration and travel expenses, but scholarships are available for HACAC members.
