Horatio Alger Association: Career and Technical Education Scholarship

    The Career & Technical Scholarship Program is funded through the Horatio Alger Endowment Fund and the generosity of Association Chairman Emeritus and Endowment Fund President Walter Scott, Jr. Scholarships are awarded to students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their lives who wish to pursue a career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States.

    There are 1,020 scholarships available, up to $2,500 each

    Application Deadline: June 15

    To qualify, an applicant must:

    • Be enrolled in a career or technical degree/certificate granting program in Fall 2018 that will lead to employment (2 years or less)
    • Attend a not-for-profit post-secondary institution
    • Demonstrate financial need; applicants must be Pell eligible
    • Be under the age of 30
    • Be a citizen of the United States
