HAWAII P-20 PARTNERSHIPS FOR EDUCATION BUS SUPPORT REQUEST FORM

Hawaii P-20 will be accepting requests for bus funding support from schools that have at least 50% of students receiving free or reduced price lunch. Complete this form and email Hawaii P-20 a written bus quote from the bus company. Schools must work directly with the bus company to reserve the bus and to confirm pickup locations and times.

The purpose of this funding is to enable students to be prepared for college and/or careers. Activities supported by this funding should expose students to the various choices, options, requirements and/or pathways related to college or selected careers. All activities need to align with Hawaii P-20 college access and enrollment strategies:

1) Improve college and career readiness through early academic preparation;
2) Expand college-level learning opportunities for high school students;
3) Increase access to postsecondary options for every student; and
4) Increase postsecondary enrollment and successful first-year completion

All field trips are to be well-planned with definite purpose and follow-through in the classroom. Students should understand the objectives of the field trip and their relevance to the classroom curriculum and/or college preparation.

A request with the bus quote should be submitted no later than 3 weeks prior to the event. Requests and quotes submitted less than 3 weeks prior to the event may not be approved. After your request is received, we'll email you within a week to inform you of your approval or if we need additional information from you.

Please make sure to have a quote from your bus company on hand before completing this form. An upload of the quote is required to complete and submit this request.

Please direct inquiries regarding your bus request submittal to Susan Uno, GEAR UP Project Manager at (808) 956-5691.
